This really is the busy time of the year for a bonsai enthusiast. A lot needs to be done in a short space of time. One of the many jobs is tending to your deciduous trees, so that you get the best out of a short period of time.
This is prime time to re-pot conifers, unlike deciduous trees, they benefit from liquid fertilizers for a couple of weeks before re-potting.
For deciduous trees, while the shooting process is in progress please do not report the plants. Wait until the new leaves are open and changing colour to a deeper green (Maturing). Avoid bare-rooting, as the tree is very vulnerable at this stage.
